Self Made Fa Guo

A new piece of creation - making the "Huat Guo" from scratch. The process is much more easier that thought. Just remember the 4 steps - pour in ready made powder, pour in 300ml of water, beat well and steam for 20 minutes. Isn't it easy?

Welcome by the majestic view of the Disney castle, we finally set our foot on the land of fantasy.

And also not forgetting the warm welcome by the symbol of all cartoon character of Disney - Mickey Mouse

Welcome to the memory lane - Toon Town which will transport you back to our little time when we watch the cartoon like chip and dales, donald duck and many others.

Travel To Japan 60 Century - Day 5

After breakfast, we made our way to Shin Yokohama to visit the popular Museum and got a chance to taste all kinds of ramen (if you really can eat). Entering into this musuem will immediate transport you to the 60's and all the scenery will bring back all your childhood memory, but of course it does not bring back mine as i am not so old. Take a peek at the pictures i have taken and it is really retro.

Do you think the clothes can get dry and clean at the same time

You must really cherish your LCD TV now, and not complaining of your LCD size too small.

How much do you think this motor worth now?

After all the sightseeing, trying out the ramen is a must as not all ramen seller can sell in this place, only the top few selected vendors has the privilege to set up biz here.

Onwards to Tokyo we visited the Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest in Tokyo with a history of more than 1,300 years. Over there, we shopped along the Nakamise Shopping street, an authentic lane lined with vendors selling souvenirs.

We continued to Shinjuku, a shopping paradise with resturants, department stores, amusement centres around.

Experience Mt Fuji Majestic Sight - Day 4

In the morning, after the same repeated international breakfast, we proceeded to mount fuji, the most sacred mountain in Japan and we are lucky enough to ascend to the 5th to see the year-round snow capped peak and its picturesque surrounding. Neverthelss, we will not forget to buy some gifts back (they also sell Mt. Fuji frest air in a bottle, do you belive it?)

After the sightseeing at mount fuji, we headed for our lunch to re-fill our stomach before the next destination - Cha Soba meal. Some fruit after meal - strawberry that we are quite fascinated about, so fresh and so big, but of course expensive.

Next stop in the agenda is Oshinohakai village where we return to nature with traditional foods offered. Nevertheless, it is still food buying time for my friends.

Our last stop for the day is Gotemba Premium outlets which is the largest outlet mall in Japan with 210 reowned domestic and overseas brands. Warning for boyfriends and husbands whose other parther is a shopping queen, it might get you bankrupt.

Unveil The Tradition of Central Japan - Day 3

After a hearty international buffet breakfast, we moved on to Day 2 activities. We begin our day with a visit to Nara Deer Park where hundreds of deers are allowed to roam freely.

Next, we visit the Todaiji Temple where you can find the almost 15m high Buddha, cast in copper and coasted with gold, housed in Daibutsu Den a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Following in the agenda is of course Makan time, where we have our lunch at Nishijin Textile Center at Kyoto. This is where we catch a glimpse of the Kimono Fashion show.

Thereafter, we visited the famous Kyomizu Temple, also known as "Pure Water Temple", notable for its vast veranda panaromic view of Kyoto. It is also one of the most celebrated temple in Japan with captivating charm as the season changes.

After that, we took the bullet train to Nagoya and it is shopping time again at Takashimaya @ JR. This ends the chapter 2 and chapter 3 awaits. Stay tuned to my posting.

7D Central Japan Discovery And Fantasy - Day 1 & 2

After a long wait from the NATAS fair where we have booked the tickets to Japan with SA tours, the day has finally come and it is holiday time. Hooray!!!

Upon arrival at Kansai airport, we waste no time and made our way to the Universal Studio, located at the Osaka Bay for an excursion. Awaiting us there are fun-filled excitement like Terminator 2, E.T Adventure, Back to the future, JAWS and many more.

A must try item is the Shrek - 4D, it give you a very realistic feel of the movie like water splashing when the scene of waterfall appear and others. Spiderman ride is also recommended too.

After all the fun, it is time to fill our stomach in order to carry on the journey and we landed at Hard Rock with a VERY expensive sandwich, but nice.

A thing to take note for this period of Japan is that at 5pm, the sky will be turning dark. Just guess what is the time which i take the photo below. Do drop me a comment for your answer.

After the shopping and walk around, it is time to head to our first hotel - Hyatt for a good rest and recharge for the next day events. Stay tuned for part 2

Claypot Fun - 煲煲乐

A delicacy to introduce to everyone, not only those living in Singapore, but also our visitors. The food served in this resturant is really worthwhile to make a trip down, even though it is in a rather remote area of Singapore. Let's give you all the overview of this food haven.

Claypot Fun - 煲煲乐
902 East coast Parkway block B #01-11
Playground @ Big Splash S(449874)
Tel: 64407975
Website: www.claypotfun.com.sg

Biz Hours: Everyday from 11am to 11pm.

But one thing to take note for those impatient people. Always keep in mind, good things must wait. The waiting time for the food to be served is around 15-20 minutes as they are being prepared from scratch, so be patient.

Try the soups here, not bad. Another thing to mention about this place is that they are creating a 60's century atmosphere and the song are really retro.

The main character for the resturant, claypot rice @ $10.80 for 2 person serving. You can also choose to upgrade the size to jumbo for 3-4 pax servings.

You must also try some of the side dishes like this pig liver, really nice, but price a bit steep at $9 per plate.

Overall rating for this makan area is 9 out of 10.

Do give it a try and feel free to leave any comments whether you have this opinion too. Cheers.
